Welcome to Hartman Horizon Photography. I’m Neiva, the photographer behind the lens, based in Los Angeles, California. I believe photography is more than just pictures. It is about connection, trust, and preserving the moments that tell your story for years to come.
Hartman Horizon Photography was created with the vision of capturing genuine, heartfelt moments for couples and individuals who want something real. Whether you’re planning an intimate elopement, an engagement session, a couples shoot, portraits, or a lifestyle session, my goal is always the same: to make you feel seen, comfortable, and celebrated.
Our Story
Originally from the Philippines, I’ve lived in many places that have shaped how I see the world. From Fargo’s snowy winters to the desert landscapes of Arizona, I’ve learned to appreciate beauty in all its forms. I eventually made my home in Los Angeles, where diverse cultures, stunning light, and endless backdrops inspire me every day.
Photography became my true calling after years of working as a chef. Cooking taught me the importance of craft, attention to detail, and serving people with care. I bring that same dedication to every photo session.
Hartman Horizon Photography is also a team effort. My husband Ryan works behind the scenes managing the business side so I can focus on creating art and giving clients the best experience possible. Together, we’re proud to call our business Hartman Horizon Photography LLC, fully registered and insured.
I also know firsthand how stressful planning can be. My husband and I had our own destination wedding in beautiful Sedona, Arizona. That experience taught me the value of clear communication, staying flexible, and keeping things relaxed. I bring that same understanding and empathy to every session I photograph.
My Approach
My style is soft, photojournalistic, and classic with a timeless feel. I love capturing genuine emotions and real moments that tell your story honestly. I want your photos to look and feel natural — never stiff or overly posed.
I offer gentle direction so you feel at ease, but I’m always watching for those candid in-between moments that truly capture who you are together. Whether it’s laughter, quiet connection, or joyful celebration, I want you to look back at your gallery and remember exactly how it felt.
From recommending perfect Los Angeles locations to helping plan your outfits, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. My goal is for you to show up, relax, and actually enjoy the experience.
What to Expect
You can count on clear communication and professionalism throughout the process. Booking is simple, with a 30 percent retainer to secure your date and an agreement that outlines all the details.
I always check in with you one to two days before your session to confirm timing, locations, and any final questions so you feel fully prepared and stress-free.
After the session, I carefully edit every image to ensure consistency and quality. Your high-resolution photos will be delivered in a private online gallery. For regular sessions, turnaround time is typically two to four weeks. For full wedding galleries, it is four to six weeks.
